We are fully committed to our mission to serve our neighbors in need. If you’d like to join us in helping the food insecure, you can do so by donating food items or by making a monetary donation. To those we serve, we certainly hope we will be back to our normal operations and procedures in the very near future. We ask for your understanding during this unusual time.
Not only is TXU Energy the largest retail electric provider in Texas, but they also have the largest bill-payment assistance program among electric providers in the nation -- TXU Energy Aid. For over 30 years, this signature program has helped families in critical situations with their electric bills, and you have the opportunity to help, too.
For every dollar donated to the program, TXU Energy matches it approximately $4 to $1 and gives 100% of the funds back to the area in which it was donated. These funds come to us, Cedar Hill Shares, and we are able to pay the TXU Energy residential account one time per calendar year for residents of Cedar Hill. Time after time, we hear stories of residents who do not have enough money to pay their electric bill and have nowhere to turn. They are so grateful for the help they receive! And we are grateful for this partnership with TXU.
Here's where you can get involved and help! There are several ways to give:
Check the box on your TXU statement that authorizes a monthly pledge or a one-time gift to TXU.
All donations are tax deductible.
We can make a difference...together!
